Facebook today announced that it has suspended “about 200 applications” on its platform as part of the investigation launched after the Cambridge Analytica scandal, the British company linked to the Donald Trump presidential campaign that has put hands on the profiles of about 87 million Fb users.
“So far thousands of apps have been analyzed and around 200 have been suspended, waiting for a full investigation to ascertain if they have really collected data inappropriately,” said Ime Archibong, vice president of facebook in charge of the partnership products.
